The Nurse Aide program is a college level course with dual enrollment at Rappahannock Community College. This is a one year program designed to help a student learn basic knowledge and develop skills necessary to become a nursing assistant. This program consists of theory and practice in the classroom setting and clinical experience in a local nursing home. At the completion of this program, students will be eligible to take the State Board Licensure Exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide. This examination consists of both a written test and skills evaluation. Successful completion of the exam allows the student to be placed on the Virginia Nurse Aide Registry.
